Out of the box

Italian Special Occasions has created a distinct product by combining sustainability with seasonal, culture-oriented activities. This approach allows travelers to discover and respect the event destination and its authentic activities without creating mass travel flows. And for our clients, our innovative approach translates into a unique, successful, and memorable corporate event.

Here are three examples of events that showcase our leadership in travel and events that are off the beaten path and off-season across Italy.

  • We organized an incentive in Sicily aimed at embracing local culture and traditions around the picturesque villages of Petralia Soprana and Gangi. One of the highlights was the visit to the “SottoSale Contemporary Art Museum” located in a 6-million years old salt mine that is still active, the only venue of this kind in the world. The delegates loved the hands-on experience with a local artist to create a small salt sculpture.
  • In Piedmont, we organized a team building revolving around the concept of sustainability in a wonderful property surrounded by 10 hectares of park. Delegates were engaged in cultivating “zero-kilometer” vegetables based on the season of the event (autumn). It was a fun and enriching experience, also thanks to the knowledge and precious feedback by our internal coach.
  • Even when we organize conferences and meetings in large and known cities, we still propose Bleisure activities off the beaten path, places that are surprisingly beautiful, and that you wouldn’t visit unless someone proposes it to you. For example, for a Client that chose Rome for its Annual Meeting, we organized a trekking experience in the nearby Roman Castles’ Regional Park, where delegates discovered lively old hamlets, local artisans, and authentic food. A very simple but authentic track, full of history and remarkable landscapes.
